Holiday Light Displays

Nothing says “Season’s Greetings!” like a car full of friends and family driving around enjoying Christmas lights and some hot cocoa from a thermos. Of course, plenty of West Texas residents will be decking their homes out with light displays, but if you want to be inundated with awesome displays, head to McKinney Park’s Starbright Village. Open from 6PM to 11PM nightly until January 1st, Starbright Village has walkways and options to drive-thru in your vehicle.

Hosted by Downtown Odessa, Winterfest kicks off with the Parade of Lights on December 4th, 2021 at 6:30PM. A couple of neighborhoods to check out are Emerald Forest and Shiloh Road. Both streets go all out for the holiday season and also plan on having horse-drawn carriages for extra fun!

December 4: Parade of Lights @ Downtown Odessa

The goal of visiting Christmas markets in the Permian Basin isn’t only to find unique gifts for loved ones, it’s to get out of the house with your family, visit with one another as you browse local wares, and hopefully head back home with a beautiful tree. Parks Legado Christmas Tree Market is the perfect place to find a tree, take a photo with Santa, ride Thomas the Train, and see beautiful lights. Downtown Odessa’s Winterfest Market encourages you to shop small. Ruffles and Rust Odessa Holiday Show is a great traveling market to find vintage pieces and cute gifts for your girlfriends.
